Use Your Brochure for Self Marketing Your Fiction Book!

A brochure for self marketing your fiction book or novel is the second route you should take in your personal promotional efforts.

A press release is a great tool to get you and your book in the media, but a sales brochure is a more personal way to reach out to your target market including your friends, family, and acquaintances.

As an essential component of your press kit, the brochure is a colorful advertising handout that allows you to visually and verbally capture your potential audience's attention the moment they receive the brochure. There are many ways to distribute this creative marketing material, and as a fiction book seller, you should explore every method available to you to aid with your marketing efforts.

Once you are done designing and publishing your fiction author brochure, you are ready to begin your extensive direct marketing efforts. The first step in any marketing venture is to tap into your personal network. Your personal network is EVERYONE that you know including people from school, work, clubs, professions (doctors, lawyers, teachers), stores, neighbors, friends, and your family.

It can take some time to develop a good list of people to send your brochure off to, but it will be well worth it and start the ball rolling with your current and future sales efforts for your fiction novels. Learn more about building your network so you can build a list of potential buyers quickly.

Once you hand out brochures to your personal or direct network, you must begin marketing to your indirect network or the people you don't know. This is an essential part of your marketing efforts so you can expand your network of customers beyond your personal reach.

You can use your brochures for self marketing in malls, book stores, book expos, readings, direct mail and book signings. Your fiction book marketing efforts should be a continuous effort, including handing out brochures at every given opportunity.

Keep in mind that your brochure for self marketing your books will be included in your press kit as well. This simple marketing resource never gets old and can be used for an unlimited amount of time while advertising your fiction books.

Learn the many ways to promote your fiction and other ways to use your brochure for self marketing.
