Find Fiction Book Publishers for Your Fiction Stories!

Fiction book publishers can be very difficult to find in the vast fiction book market. Are you having trouble finding a fiction publisher for your finished story? Well, there are several ways you can go about getting your fiction stories published in this agressive writing market.

If your writing efforts are finally complete and you are ready to go all out and publish your fiction novel, you must decide whether to self-publish your story or publish through a traditional publishing company. The choice is all yours, but if you have already been looking for fiction publishers, you've probably decided that you want someone else to publish your book.

Publishing may seem to be the largest hurdle for you, but there's really nothing to the whole publishing thing if you know what to do. Publishers are mainly in it for the money (they are in the publishing business), so if you make your book sound like a best seller and you are confident in your own work and abilities, a publisher is going to be more willing to work with you.

Finding fiction book publishers for your work can be a tedious and time consuming task. You will find that most big named publishers are looking for money in a book that they are putting their label on. Their main question: "Is it going to sell or not?" They determine the answer to this by exploring the following:

1. Do they like how your story synopsis sounds?

2. Do they know your name or have you been recognized by any type of writing organization? (A writing agent representing you will make this a little easier.)

3. Have you published or self-published any other books that sold well?

Fiction publishers will welcome query letters and synopsis write ups, but when it comes to selling your story idea to a publisher, there are many factors the fiction book publishers are considering. They are mostly looking at how much money they are going to make from the sale of your books. This is a business, after all, and they don't want to waste their time or money on a project that isn't going to pay them back (in the form of royalties - the more books that sell, the more money they will make) in the long run. It is all about risk verses reward.

Don't think of a publisher as the bad guy. They are just in business to help you put your fiction work into print if you don't know what to do or if you lack the time to go through all of the self-publishing motions.
